Natural sweet nastoikas

Sweet natural nastoikas (tinctures) are originally Russian beverages, infused on berries and fruit, famous since ancient times and enjoyed deserved popularity among our forefathers.

It was common to offer to a guest a choice of nastoikas (tinctures) or, as they were also called
Nalivka (home made wine), beginning with pre-Peter the Great era.

It is difficult to call Russia a big winemaking power, but we are good judges in strong beverages. Wild orange, sea-buckthorn, lemon, cranberry, ashberry, on currant buds, cedar and many, many others… Any other country could not boast of such broadest assortment of nastoikas (tinctures). The desire to self-express, to create a unique beverage, bringing a zest into the recipe, to please and surprise guests with vodka of “self-production” was and is in the Russian men’s blood.

As table drinks sweet nastoikas (tinctures) can be offered both as aperitif and as digestive served with fruit and desserts. In preparation of cocktails sweet nastoikas are used as liquors.

Production

A unique workshop of natural infusions of the Moscow factory KiN has started its history since 1940, having saved up during this time invaluable operational experience with natural raw materials. Nastoikas (tinctures) are made only from the fresh berries collected in ecologically clean areas of Russia, and the modern equipment allows to preserve carefully their healing characteristics.

In the production fresh berries are processed into berry juices and extracts, then alcoholized. After that brandies are added, and ready blending is processed with cold and goes through filtration. Before bottling sweet nastoikas (tinctures), the same as noble brandies, rest in order to refresh their tasting characteristics and aroma. The KiN Group has its own refrigerating chamber which allows to process more than 100 tons of fresh berries into extracts and fruit drink within a year.

Useful characteristics of berries

Berry juices and extracts received from berries of cranberry, cowberry, red ashberry and chokeberry, preserve their natural biologically active substances which possess healing characteristics.

Cranberry eliminates chronic fatigue, a headache, restores sleep, raises resistibility of an organism to illnesses.

Cowberry is rich with vitamins C and A, perfectly satisfies thirst.
Red ashberry contains a significant amount of carotene stimulating strengthening of hair and nails.

Chokeberry reduces arterial pressure, normalizes organism work.
