KiN at PRODEXPO – new partners, new contracts6 april 2016
The KiN Moscow wine-cognac factory participated in the largest food exhibition Prodexpo 2016 that took part in an expocenter at the Moscow district Krasnaya Presnya. Eurotrade, a general distributor, promoted business interests of the KiN Group at the exhibition.
Manufacturers from 60 countries came to the Exhibition for Food, Beverages and Food Raw Materials. At the stands there were meat and milk products, ice cream, juices, confectionery and bakery, tea, coffee, and other well-known in Russia products as well as ones coming soon into the market. There were also interesting proposals for manufacturers, there they may find offering from different companies producing glassware, packing, design inventions.
At Prodexpo business negotiations are conducted as is customary, many exhibitors organized special place for this purpose at their stands. Thus KiN rendered suitable all the second floor of the stand for meetings with partners. Marketing experts and region managers engaged in talks with distributors there, showed the latest things in collection of the Moscow KiN factory: a choice of Katyusha and Matrioshka, Samorodok sweet nastoikas on the basis of cognac which production was restarted at the factory.
KiN’s stand impersonated the four elements: water, air, earth and fire. All the four are the basis for future beverages, whether the Pearl of Russia potable water or Kinovsky cognac.
In addition to chambered meeting area KiN had also open area for exhibition visitors to come and discuss opportunities for cooperation with the factory or Eurotrade. Media personnel, advertisers, manufacturers of glass, packing, business giftware designers and others visited the stand with interesting proposals.
“It is worth noting that many both current and new distributors, and equally important the ones cooperation with whom was broken down for any reason in times past took a great interest in KiN”, Dmitriy Obroskin, a Eurotrade Director of Sales says, “Region managers and marketing experts had held around 200 meeting with clients from different parts of the country including the Crimea”.
All the distributors placed great emphasis on the fact that the KiN Moscow wine-cognac factory fixed selling prices for distributors at the rate of 2015 that for sure would influence sales volume as it would give us unchallenged competitive strengths.
Also it stands to mention that in such difficult deflationary time when a lot of companies (distributors and manufacturers) have real problems (financial, personnel, the like), their primary focus is on reliable and significant market majors like the KiN Group.
“Prodexpo gives an opportunity to conduct talks with most current and potential distributors”, Pavel Fedorov, a Eurotrade regional manager, remarks. “It’s well known that live negotiations are much more effective than phone, electronic or some other ones. At the beginning of the year we usually consider for approval and sign pick schemes with our distributors and at the exhibition we could make a final agreement on plans and schemes if we couldn’t make it earlier. Furthermore new collections and factory product that is not on the distributor’s price list are represented during Prodexpo. As a matter of course most of our partners expand the assortment of the manufacturer in their price lists after the exhibition. Participating in the event helps finding new partners in the regions where it’s necessary as well”.
“It's safe to say that PRODEXPO-2016 turned out to be a very positive and functional operational exhibition”, Konstantin Urman, a Eurotrade finance director, summarized. “Regarding the results of meetings and talks our company signed more than 20 contracts with new distributors that could honorably represent our factory product in different parts of Russia at a reasonable price”.
