An unprecedented Cocktail Show Competition started in the main hall of Tiki on the 30 of April when almost all Moscow fountains were turned on. About 20 professional barmen from Russia and former Soviet republics took part in the competition supported by Kinovskiy and BarShow.ru project. That evening each of them could show his skill to make a fantasy cocktail in the style of flairing. In jury's judgment Alexey Balashov from Moscow could juggle bottles, shakers, spoons and other barmen equipment more spectacular than others. And he got the first prize for the best cocktail. The total sum of prize money was 50 000 rubles

A group of strict judges watched the participants’ shows that were webcasted on www.barshow.ru. As a member of jury there was a Russian and world multiple champion of barmen skills Alexandr Rodoman as well as a founder of flairing and Guinness’s record-breaker Sergey Gribkov.

The taste of cocktails was appreciated by a Russian champion and winner of many international competitions among 'classics' Olga Markevich from IBA. Each barman should outpoint in all three categories: 'the best show', 'the most amazing trick' and 'the best cocktail' to win.

So as the result of three hour contest in the top there were:

  • the 1 place + a prize for the best drink of the championship - Alexey Balashov (Moscow)
  • the 2 place – Alexandr Gostilovskiy (Saint Petersburg)
  • the 3 place – Evgeniy Sorokin (Moscow)
  • the 4 place – Vyacheslav Belyakov (Barnaul) and Andrey Philyakov (Astrakhan)
  • the 5 place – Edgar Suvaryan (Moscow)

All of them got money rewards and mugs along with presents from the major contributor of the event - the KiN Group. Guests were not neglected too. During the whole evening totally free of charge they tasted Kinovsky with ice that is a very simple but particularly topical in summer.
