Museum of Cognac history

In 2007 the KiN Group opened the first Museum of Cognac History in Russia, and made a unique contribution in the development of the museum industry.The represented exhibits in the museum were collected all over the Cognac Region during one year and a half. The author of the artistic museum project is a French designer Philippe Seys. Among the exhibits there are real instruments of labour of French wine-growers and coopers, mysterious accessories of cognac craftsmen, real alembic which was created in 1900. This was the first alembic brought into Russia.

The exposition visually represents all the long way of cognac from grape to mature, aged in oak barrels beverage. There is a storage where Cognac forms its taste and aroma, and a storehouse where especially old and valuable spirits in demijohns are kept. This is not accidental that the place is called “Paradise”.

The guests of the museum can get acquainted with the wine-testing art, and can learn how to make out the organoleptic delicacy of a great beverage.

Each exhibit has its own history, which allows to create the atmosphere of the past of the Cognac Region and plunge into its secrets and mystery.
