Vieille VilleIn 2004, the KiN Group, the main Russian importer of French spirits, started to import cognac produced by the French winery Domaine des Broix (Grande Champagne). This became a logical continuation of cooperation with French cognac masters in the field of wine spirits import and cognac production in the territory of Russia from French raw material. Thus, KiN received an opportunity to develop the brandy range of the premium class “Stary Gorod (Old Town)” due to the more expensive authentic version Vieille Ville (Old Town), made on the historical native land of cognac. French and Russian winemakers faced the task to create authentic French cognac, but at the same time to embreathe into it a particle of the Russian soul. The experts proceeded from the idea that in Russia people like cognac, but consumers have their own conceptions of what cognac should be. As a result of tedious work of Russian and French winemakers on selecting the assemblage of sophisticated spirits and organizing numerous tastings, in 2008, the French premium-class cognacs Vieille Ville XO and Vieille Ville Extra created in the best traditions of the classic cognac production were finally introduced to the world. The collection of Vieille Ville cognacs is created for men and women above 30, businessmen, managers, top-managers and creative personalities, who have one similar feature — aspiration to everything new and absence of fear of the future. In due time thanks to the new ideas and modern technologies, these people got to know the taste of victory and now they can afford to get to know the new taste of the expensive cognac, created especially for them… The bottle, label and souvenir packing design were created by a famous French designer, the Art Director of the KiN group — Philippe Seys.
